After lunch served in the restaurant, the journey continues along the large north-eastern Atlantic slope towards the rural villages of Ajoupa-Bouillon, Basse-Pointe birthplace of the illustrious poet Aimé Césaire, and Sainte-Marie, all fertile regions for food crops.
A visit to the Saint-James distillery and its famous rum museum, created in 1979, announces a tasting of fruity liqueurs which pleasantly punctuate the day before returning to the accommodation.
