Go for a magnificent discovery along the 30km of green tracks through fields of flowers and plantations!
The departure is scheduled at 9 am from the LERITZ Housing located on the territory of the village of BASSE-POINTE, a still fertile place, once conducive to the cultivation of tobacco and cocoa.
The site, which dates back to 1713, has superb spots, dirt tracks in a tropical environment, a wide panoramic view of the mountainous reliefs of the North Atlantic.
Very robust buggy vehicles cut for forest roads are fitted with a 500 cc engine with an automatic gearbox for more agile driving. The 35km course, lasting 3 hours, takes you to the steep feet of the eastern slope of the Mont Pelée volcano where splendid views parade between fields of sugar cane, banana plantations, and pineapple plantations ...
The crossings of the river fords are fun. A stop for a refreshing swim is made under the steep wall of a private waterfall. At the end of the route, the ride makes an instructive passage to the J.M. rum factory located in the village of Macouba. This distillery founded in 1845 preserves a very fragrant rum requiring more than five varieties of sugar cane.
