North Caribbean Coast - Sailing catamaran

DESCRIPTION

Enjoy a day on board a catamaran, accompanied by an experienced team, to discover the North of Martinique.

Your sea trip starts from the village of Trois-Ilet in the south towards the magnificent bay of Fort de France to follow its new commercial port, awarded in 2018, its 36m high lighthouse erected in 1855, then the military site of the Pointe des Nègres which had a battery of six cannons in the 17th century.

As you navigate north, you will probably see groups of dolphins offering their escort on the strand.

Further north, the Pitons du Carbet will appear the second mountain range on the island, then the Mont Pelée volcano, which rises to 1397m. An anchorage in the harbor of Saint Pierre, once the capital of the island, allows a guided discovery of the city with the prestigious label "City of Art & History".

The volcano eruption in 1902 got the better of its glorious past. Returning south through the village of Carbet, a small boat takes you to Anse Turin beach for a swim on an ash gray volcanic sand beach.

The aperitif and lunch prepared and served on board reveal the know-how and flavors of Creole cuisine. In the afternoon at Anse Bellemare, masks and snorkels are provided for a new swim. In a relaxing atmosphere, the sailboat sets sail south for the ascent to Trois-Ilets.
